API · Pay-as-you-go

Pay for the calls you make. Nothing else.

The full FinancialFilings API, metered in credits. 1 credit = $0.01, and your first 500 credits every month are free. No plan, no minimum, cancel anytime.

49M Filings in the archive

Every billable request maps to one of four credit weights. The weight is set by the endpoint you call, never by how much data comes back, so a broad response and a narrow one cost exactly the same. No rounding, no session fees.

Filing metadata & search 1 credit $0.01 / request. Company lookups, filing lists, full-text search, and the reference taxonomies.
Filing markdown 6 credits $0.06 / request. Full filing text as clean Markdown.
Premium filing markdown 12 credits $0.12 / request. The main filings from a company — annual, quarterly & interim reports, earnings releases, transcripts.
Structured financials 40 credits $0.40 / request. KPIs and line items, extracted and normalised. One call returns a company's whole financial history, so narrowing it to a single line item costs the same.

First 500 credits each month are free — that's 500 searches, 83 filings as Markdown, or 12 companies' complete financial histories, on the house.

Per credit: first 500/mo free · $0.010 up to 50,000/mo · $0.007 for 50,001–500,000 · $0.005 above 500,000

Worked example

What pulling one line item costs

Say you want Meta's 2025 revenue. It takes two calls, and the second one costs the same whether you ask for a single figure or for everything the company has ever filed.

$ curl -H "X-API-Key: $FR_API_KEY" \
    'https://api.financialreports.eu/companies/?search=Meta'
# 1 credit: resolve the company id

$ curl -H "X-API-Key: $FR_API_KEY" \
    'https://api.financialreports.eu/companies/<id>/financials/?fiscal_year=2025&line_items=revenue'
# 40 credits: the figures

{
  "company": "Meta Platforms, Inc.",
  "periods": [{ "fiscal_year": 2025, "statements": [{ "type": "IS",
    "line_items": [{ "code": "revenue", "value": …, "currency": "USD" }] }] }]
}

Drop both filters and that same 40-credit call returns every fiscal year, all three statements, and every line item the company reports, each with its source filing. The filters narrow what comes back for convenience, never the price.

Estimate your monthly cost →
Step 01

Create a free account, get your key.

Sign up and generate an API key from your dashboard — no card needed to start. Add one when you want to go beyond the free monthly credits.

Step 02

Call the API.

$ curl -H "X-API-Key: $FR_API_KEY" \
    'https://api.financialreports.eu/filings/?company_isin=DE000A1EWWW0&type=10-K'

Typed REST, Markdown / JSON / PDF output. Same index, same data as the web product.

Step 03

Watch the meter, not the mailbox.

Live usage and spend sit in your dashboard; billing happens once a month, only for what you used beyond the free 500.

Pay-as-you-go is built for experiments, prototypes, and steady mid-size workloads — with hard limits so a runaway script never becomes a surprise invoice.

Monthly spend cap $1,000 / mo

Hard cap. Requests beyond it are declined, not billed.

Daily spend cap $250 / day

Spending pauses for the day once you hit it, and resumes at midnight UTC.

Rate limit 50 / sec

With a card on file. Free accounts are limited to 5 requests / min.

Outgrowing the caps — bulk delivery, redistribution, S3? That's a custom plan: flat pricing built around your workload.

What counts as a premium filing?
The main filings from a company: annual, quarterly & interim reports, earnings releases, and transcripts — the documents that carry the fundamentals. Everything else is standard markdown at 6 credits.
Do unused free credits roll over?
No. 500 fresh credits every month, use them or not.
What happens at the $1,000 monthly spend cap?
Requests are declined until your next billing cycle starts — you're never billed past the cap. Consistently hitting it is the signal to move to a custom plan.
How do I stop?
Stop calling the API. No subscription to cancel, no notice period — a month with zero usage costs $0.
Do failed requests cost credits?
No. Only successful (2xx) responses are metered — errors, 404s and rate-limited calls are free. Webhooks cost 1 credit per successful delivery; bulk downloads cost their quoted credits and are refunded if the export fails before those credits are billed.
Is the MCP server billed this way too?
The MCP server for ChatGPT, Claude and other clients draws on the same credit pool. Free accounts get the same 500 credits a month across REST and MCP; once you're on pay-as-you-go, MCP calls are metered exactly like REST calls.

Start at $0. Scale when you do.

500 free credits a month is enough to build against the real index. When your workload outgrows the caps, a custom plan picks up where the meter stops.
