API Terms.

Version 1.1, published and effective October 14, 2026 (see the note below for existing accounts). The usage agreement for self-serve access to the FinancialFilings API, supplementing our Terms of Service.

Changes in this version

This version (a) requires a separate academic or enterprise license for academic publications that use the Data (section 2), (b) extends these Terms to free accounts and to access through our MCP server and other AI-agent integrations (section 1), and (c) notes that lower spend caps may apply to new accounts (section 6). These changes apply from October 14, 2026 to accounts created on or after that date and to anyone who accepts this version. For other accounts created earlier, the previous version continues to apply until this version takes effect for them under section 9. Under the previous version, you may share conclusions, analyses, and summaries derived from the Data, including in academic publications, and these Terms cover free trial and pay-as-you-go accounts only.

1. What these terms cover

These API Terms ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the FinancialFilings API and the data it returns ("Data") under a self-serve account — a free account, a free trial account, or a pay-as-you-go account with a card on file — including access through our MCP server or another AI-agent integration, and any other API access not covered by a separate signed agreement. They are an agreement between you and FINANCIALREPORTS PTE. LTD. (UEN: 202504313C), a company incorporated in Singapore ("we," "us"), and they supplement our Terms of Service. Where the two conflict for API usage, these Terms apply.

If your organisation has signed a separate enterprise or academic data license agreement with us, that agreement — not this page — governs your use of the Data.

2. Your license

Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable fees, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access the API and use the Data for your personal use or your own organisation's internal business purposes — research, analysis, monitoring, and building internal tools and models for people inside your organisation.

You may keep internal copies of Data you retrieved while your account is active, and you may share conclusions, analyses, and summaries you derive from the Data (for example a research note or a chart), provided the underlying raw Data cannot be extracted or reconstructed from what you share.

This does not extend to academic publications. Using the Data, or any result derived from it, in an academic or scholarly publication (as defined in section 3 of the Terms of Service) requires a separate academic or enterprise license.

3. What you must not do

Under a self-serve account you must not:

  • redistribute, resell, or sublicense the Data, in raw or substantially raw form, to anyone outside your organisation;
  • publicly display the Data — for example on a website, in an app, or in a product screen visible to people outside your organisation;
  • make the Data available to third parties, including through your own API, file delivery, database access, or any similar mechanism;
  • operate a filings-delivery, filings-alerting, or data-feed service for others using the Data;
  • share API keys outside your organisation, or circumvent rate limits, metering, or access controls.

These activities are available under an enterprise agreement — see section 8.

4. AI and machine learning

The Data is designed to work well with AI tooling, and most internal AI use is expressly permitted. Within your own organisation's systems you may:

  • use the Data in retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines;
  • create and store retrieval embeddings of the Data;
  • run LLM inference over the Data — summarisation, extraction, question answering, classification, and similar — including via third-party model APIs, provided the provider does not use your inputs to train or improve its models.

You must not:

  • train, fine-tune, or distill any machine-learning model on the Data;
  • provide the Data to any third-party AI service under settings that allow the provider to use it for model training or improvement;
  • use the Data to build a dataset for any of the above, whether by you or by anyone else.

5. Billing

Pay-as-you-go usage is metered and billed monthly in arrears through Stripe: at the end of each monthly billing period you are charged for the usage you actually incurred, at the rates published on our pricing page. There is no prepayment and no minimum commitment, and you can cancel at any time.

Every account includes a free monthly usage allowance; you are only billed for usage beyond it. Because billing is in arrears and only for actual usage, cancelling stops future charges — there is nothing to refund.

6. Service limits

Self-serve access comes with limits that keep the service safe and affordable. Current values are published on the pricing page and in the API documentation; we may adjust them with notice:

  • Daily spend cap: metered spend is capped (currently $250 per day; lower caps may apply to new accounts until their first payment succeeds). Requests beyond the cap are rejected until the next day.
  • Monthly spend cap: monthly metered spend is capped (currently $1,000 per month). If you need more, contact sales — that volume belongs on an enterprise agreement.
  • Rate limits: published request-rate limits apply per account and may vary by endpoint.
  • No SLA: the service is provided on a best-effort basis. Self-serve accounts carry no uptime commitment and no guaranteed support response times. Uptime SLAs and support commitments are enterprise-only.

7. Termination

You can cancel at any time; we may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms. On cancellation or termination, your API access ends — there is no wind-down period. You must delete retained copies of the Data from your systems within 30 days, except where a law requires you to keep specific records, and except for conclusions, analyses, and summaries you derived while your account was active (which you may keep). Final metered usage is billed on your last invoice.

8. Need more? Enterprise licensing

Redistribution and public-display rights, academic publication rights, real-time webhooks, uptime SLAs and support commitments, and audit-overlay licensing are available under a separately negotiated enterprise agreement. If your use case touches any of these, contact sales.

9. Versions and changes

These Terms are versioned; this page is version 1.1. When we publish a new version, we will notify account holders by email and ask you to accept it — material changes take effect no earlier than thirty (30) days after notice. Sections 6–9 of the Terms of Service (disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law, and contact) apply to these Terms as well.
