Sovereign Gold Company is exploring for large Intrusion-Related Gold Systems in New South Wales.
Sovereign Gold’s project area covers over 2,650 square kilometres.
The principal project is located around the township of Uralla, 21km southwest of Armidale, New South Wales, Australia, with superb infrastructure logistics. It is close to major roads, rail, airport, labour source, university, power, and engineering.
Sovereign Gold Company Limited (ASX: SOC) (Sovereign Gold) notes the announcement by Precious Metal Resources Limited (ASX: PMR) (PMR) earlier today.
Sovereign Gold confirms that it has approached PMR on a confidential, incomplete and exploratory basis to engage in discussions, which may lead to a firm proposal by Sovereign Gold to acquire all the ordinary shares in PMR by way of an ‐ off market takeover bid.
Matters are not presently sufficiently definite or complete to be certain that Sovereign Gold’s approach will lead to any firm proposal by it either at all or on terms and conditions which may be acceptable to the Board of PMR.
Accordingly, Sovereign Gold considers that its approach does not, and cannot be considered a notification by Sovereign Gold of any intention to make a takeover bid, whether for the purposes of section 631 of the Corporations Act 2001 or for any other purpose.
Sovereign Gold will provide further market guidance if matters become definite or discussions are terminated.

Available production records indicate that the Rocky River-Uralla Goldfield yielded 5,193 kg (approximately 167,000 ounces) of gold mostly from Tertiary deep leads during the period 1858-1967.
Sovereign Gold’s exploration objective is to locate the hard rock ore sources.
